During the hosted employer onboarding experience, each company will fill out information regarding their prior payrolls. If they select 'Yes' they have paid workers this year, Paid will be notified immediately. See below for more details on what to expect next.
- If the employer has completed all other onboarding tasks, their Pay Workers Readiness Status will update from New Account to Implementations.
- Paid will then contact the partner via email as soon as possible requesting access to the following information:
- Records of all year-to-date 1099 payments made within the current year (preferably in CSV format when possible).
- This can be a total lump sum amount, or broken down by payment date. Whatever is easiest for you!
- Personal information for any terminated workers paid with the current year.
- Home address
- Social security number
- Records of all year-to-date 1099 payments made within the current year (preferably in CSV format when possible).
Note: It is important we collect personal information for terminated workers that were paid within the current year, as this will be included on their 1099 filed by Paid on the employer’s behalf.
- Once received, Paid will then get to work on the implementation of the historical payroll information. This process can take up to 2 weeks.
- Once the import has been completed, Paid will reach back out to the partner via email with a confirmation that the import has been completed.
- At this time, assuming all other employer onboarding tasks have been completed, the company Pay Workers Readiness Status will move from Implementations to Active.
- Assuming workers have also completed onboarding and all other tasks are done, the company is officially ready for payroll!
